Richard L. Davis, a member of SAFE's Speaker's Bureau releases his new book "Domestic Violence: Intervention, Prevention, Policies, and Solutions"!
This books presents a rational and reasoned perspective that emphasizes evidence-based data rather than ideologically held beliefs. It challenges the effectiveness of existing policies and procedures and introduces 10 recommendations for change. This book summarizes many important federally sponsored reports and provides unique meta-analysis styled empirical based overviews of contemporary research and intervention efforts. Topics addressed include explanations of battering behavior, identification of victims, rape and sexual assault, and risk factors as well as ideological advocacy. It also supplies print and web-based national and state specific resources and references to studies and organizations that will be updated online.
